April 12 - Hallelujah! He is Risen! We will be meeting for Sunday School, but it will just be a time of fellowship. No lesson since several people will be out of town.
April 17 - Service Opportunity - Bring your baked goods to the Fellowship Hall from 2:00 - 6:00pm. All desserts welcome!
April 18 - Church BBQ pick-up day. Pick up BBQ sandwiches/plates at the church.
April 19 - Service Opportunity:: A few of us were talking about how we hadn't yet sold our BBQ tickets. Rachel thought (and we agreed!) that it would be fun for us to buy the tickets and then head downtown to hand them out to the homeless in Birmingham. So, on April 19, whoever would like to come is welcome to lunch after the 11:00 service. After lunch, we'll head downtown as a group to hand out the BBQ sandwiches. We'll talk about this service opportunity more this Sunday.
April 25 - StadiumFest:: visit www.stadiumfest.org for more information!
April 27 - Tom Alley Golf Tournament
May 2 - Footsteps Social:: Cookout at the Gossett's. More details to come later, but Save the Date!! Also, this is the date of Mountain Marketplace at the church from 9:00 - 4:00.
Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage. -- Matthew 20:27-28
